At dark, June 21, 2008 we had the 2nd annual fireworks display for the City of Newport to celebrate our families, our heritage, and our city. The display took place in the downtown area ( Front Street.) Fireworks displays always draw big crowds and this year’s display was no expection.
This a non-profit activity for the citizens of Newport and Jackson County.
What we need is the support of individuals and businesses to make next year's display the biggest fireworks display ever for the City of Newport and Jackson County. The goal is to make the display bigger every year than the year before and eventually the largest in our part of the state. Please become a sponsor for this event with your generous donation. The goal for next year is $10,000.00. However, the more we have to work with the more spectacular the display.
